In the 2021 edition, French writer David Diop's “At Night All Blood Is Black”, translated by Anna Moskovakis, won the International Booker Prize. The International Booker Prize’s 2022 jury will search for the best translated literary work, selected from among entries published in the United Kingdom or Ireland between and April 30, 2022. The award revealed in a statement on its official website that this year's session will witness an increase of £1,000 over previous years, as selected authors and translators will receive £2,500. The prize value is £50,000, divided equally between the author and the translator. It is known that the International Booker Prize is primarily concerned with the translation of novels. The International Booker Prize has announced that the longlist of 13 novels will be announced on March 10, the shortlist of six novels will be announced on April 7, and the grand prize winner will be announced on May 26. Getting the nomination at all is a feat in and of itself getting onto the shortlist and winning cements an author’s place in literary history.
